An electric car has a small 12V battery as well as its high-voltage traction battery. When the EV 12V battery wears out, the car may not unlock or power up. This page covers the 12V battery only.

If the car will not unlock, power up or enter ready mode, the 12V battery may need attention. These symptoms can have other causes too; tell us the model and what you see.
High-voltage work is excluded
This service does not cover high-voltage traction battery repair or replacement. Ask the vehicle manufacturer or an EV specialist about that work.
